Lebanese-Canadian engineer Christian Comair specialises in environmental engineering, having amassed a wealth of experience constructing and supervising large-scale public works projects. An expert in quality control, operational procedures and directing teams across multi-site projects, Kristian Comair has overseen the creation and renovation of critical infrastructure such as water supply pipelines, wastewater treatment plants and marine works. He has also worked on various turn-key construction projects, including developing hotels, resorts, castles and palaces. Adept at liaising with the public, Mr. Comair is also experienced in organising and conducting meetings with contractors and acting authorities, as well as providing technical assistance in all hydraulic issues.

He also participated in the reconstruction of four major villages in South Lebanon that were destroyed in the Israeli–Lebanese conflict in 2006. The latter initiative paved the way for the creation of 6,000 homes, along with 700 religious buildings including mosques, churches and Khalwa.

Other causes supported by Christian Comair include an animal sanctuary and reforestation initiative. Acquiring the bankrupt French company Sofregaz, an organisation operating in the oil and gas industry, he transformed the enterprise’s fortunes, ensuring its profitability and the conservation of its staff. Under his leadership, Sofregaz today operates with the highest environmental standards.

Lebanese Industry

In the Lebanese industrial sector, Christian Comair is credited with creating jobs by boosting foodstuff exports through the utilisation of local agricultural products, namely apples. He is the proud sponsor of the Al Sad sports team in Qatar. Mr. Comair also fundraised for and managed an irrigation project in Tannourine, Lebanon, which was designed to mitigate low rain levels through the creation of artificial water ponds to be used for agriculture.

GET Contracting

Christian Comair is best known as the indirect owner of GET Contracting Company, a Qatar-based enterprise. The company provides a comprehensive range of engineering services covering everything from design, structure and landscaping to marine works and facility management. GET Contracting Company has spearheaded various prestigious projects across Qatar and beyond, including restoring Sheikh Ali Bin Abdullah Castle at Al Rayan.
